Di seguito troverete spiegate le regole di partecipazione e votazione, le categorie, i candidati eletti ed eleggibili e alcune informazioni su i libri più votati!

Da lettore, ma soprattutto da amante del sito più all'avanguardia e che mi ha aperto il mondo dell'editoria mondiale, questo è il periodo dell'anno che amo di più.

Poter scegliere il libro, che più ho amato per ogni categoria, è l'apoteosi della vita di noi lettori perchè per la prima volta si da al lettore la possibilità di votare i suoi libri preferiti.

2013 Regole ed Eleggibilità

I 2013 Goodreads Choice Awards hanno tre roud di votazioni aperti a tutti i membri registrati di Goodreads. I vincitori saranno annunciati il 03 Dicembre 2013.

Round di apertura: Novembre 04-09

La votazione è aperta a 15 nomine ufficiali, e nomine aggiuntive possono essere date ad ogni libro eleggibile (vedi eleggibilità sotto).

Semifinali Round: Novembre 11-16

I primi 5 libri aggiunti diventano nomine ufficiali, portanto il totale a 20 nomine per ogni categoria. Non sono più accettati voti a libri aggiuntivi.

Round Finale: Novembre 18-25

Il campo si restringe ai primi 10 libri per ogni categoria, e i membri hanno un'ultima possibilità di votare!

2013 Eleggibilità

Sono eleggibili per i 2013 Goodreads Choice Awards i libri pubblicati per la prima volta negli Stati Uniti in Inglese tra il 26 Novembre del 2012 e il 16 Novembre del 2013. I libri pubblicati tra il 17 Novembre 2013 e il 31 Dicembre 2013 saranno eleggibili per l'anno 2014.

Analizziamo le statistiche da 250 milioni di libri aggiunti, votati, e recensiti sul sito nel 2013 per nominare i 15 libri in ogni categoria. Le nomine per il round di apertura devono avere una media di votazione di 3.50 o più alto. Per le nomine aggiuntive possono essere scelti libri eleggibili con ogni media di voto, e per le nomine aggiuntive peserà il numero di votazioni (rating) per determinare i primi cinque libri da aggiungere alle nomine ufficiali nel Round delle Semifinali. Un libro può essere nominato non in più di un genere/categoria, ma può essere nominato tra i Goodreads Author Category. Solo un libro per serie può essere nominato a categoria. Un autore può ricevere più nomine tra una singola categoria se lui o lei ha più di una serie eleggibile o più di un libro autoconclusivo eleggibile.

2013 Rules & Eligibility 

The 2013 Goodreads Choice Awards have three rounds of voting open to all registered Goodreads members. Winners will be announced December 03, 2013. 

Opening Round: November 04 - 09 

Voting open to 15 official nominees, and write-in votes can be placed for any eligible book (see eligibility below). 

Semifinal Round: November 11 - 16 

The top five write-in votes become official nominees, bringing the total to 20 nominees in each category. Additional write-ins no longer accepted. 

Final Round: November 18 - 25 

The field narrows to the top 10 books in each category, and members have one last chance to vote! 

2013 Eligibility 

Books published for the first time in the United States in English between November 26, 2012, and November 16, 2013, are eligible for the 2013 Goodreads Choice Awards. Books published between November 17, 2013, and December 31, 2013, will be eligible for the 2014 awards. 

We analyze statistics from the 250 million books added, rated, and reviewed on the site in 2013 to nominate 15 books in each category. Opening round official nominees must have an average rating of 3.50 or higher. Write-in votes may be cast for eligible books with any average rating, and write-in votes will be weighted by the book’s number of ratings to determine the top five books to be added as official nominees in the Semifinal Round. A book may be nominated in no more than one genre category, but can also be nominated in the Goodreads Author category. Only one book in a series may be nominated per category. An author may receive multiple nominations within a single category if he or she has more than one eligible series or more than one eligible stand-alone book.

In poche parole ci vengono offerte 15 nomine e la possibilità di aggiungere, se non presente nelle nomine ufficiali un libro a nostra scelta.
Tra tutti i libri aggiunti verranno, una volta concluso il round di apertura, scelti altri 5 libri che diverranno delle nomine ufficiali per ottenere così un totale di 20 libri tra cui votare.
